~Allegations against Amaechi are diversionary.
The Young Female progressives have berated the ignominious acts by Governor Fayose of Ekiti State and Femi Fani Kayode over the $38 Million Dollars, N23 Million and and some thousands of Pounds allegedly confiscated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions, EFCC, in an apartment at Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos State.
The duo of Fayose and Kayode independently and hurriedly took to the mass and social media to make misleading and malicious statements accusing the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi of being the owner of the said money ahead of any formal statements by the EFCC or other relevant Authorities.
Even though it is common knowledge in the public domain that Fayose and Kayode are like siamese twin bonded by a cord of duplicity; whose stock in trade are peddling of falsehood and deluding the general public, it is however, necessary to dispel any iota of doubt and misgivings their wrongful assertions may have created in the mind of the unsuspecting members of the public.
It is on record that the body saddled with the responsibilities of investigating such cases as this, is yet to make any official statement to suggest that the money in question belongs to Amaechi or otherwise. Again, the Nigerian Intelligence Agency , NIA has declared that the said money is not linked to Amaechi or anyone affiliated to him. It therefore, beats us hollow down, the basis on which Fayose and his friend arrived at their unfounded and baseless conclusions.
For the records, from the periods Amaechi served as Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly to when he was a governor he has never being indicted by any Court of law for any form of graft be it misappropriation, embezzlement, laundering or theft. He has so far maintained an impeccable public service lifestyle which has earned him the respect and trust of Mr. President.
The Progressive Young Females therefore call on the public to unheed the criminal and premature claims of Fayose and Kayode as they are not the spokespersons of the EFCC neither do they have the moral standing to accuse anyone. This is considered as one of their numerous failed attempts to drag the hard earned reputation of Amaechi to the mud with the intent to ridicule him before President Buhari.
The public is reminded that the two characters who have made this malicious accusation against Amaechi are themselves neck deep in financial crimes. Need they be reminded of their involvement in the Dasukigate and other treacherous graft related offences for which they are being investigated?
It is the strong belief of the Young Female progressives that Fayose and his partner in falsehood are directly or indirectly linked to the said money, judging by the speed with which they hurriedly accused Amaechi to divert attention and preempt the Authorities.
Therefore, the Authorities are urged to leave no stone unturned in their bid to unravel the identities of the owners of the huge sums of money.
