Parents and guardians in Port Harcourt metropolis,Rivers State,Nigeria have been seen retrieving their wards from schools over alleged immunization carried out my men believed to be on military uniforms forcefully injecting vaccines to these school children.
Schools have been seen sending many of the kids home as well as parents running towards schools to pick up their kids. This development is resting on previous stories a few days back when parents besieged many Private and Government owned schools in the city warning the School Management not to allow their children to be immunized by any Government Agency due to fake news of killer vaccine trending on Social media.
Sphere watch learnt that the Parents became anxious over a fake news trending in social media that some pupils of a Government owned school died from immunization allegedly carried out by Military in Anambra State.
Meanwhile the military in Port Harcourt have denied any involvement or dispatching group to carry out any immunization exercise, therefore tagging any military operatives doing such as fake.
Sphere watch are yet to sight any officials of the military or Ministry of Health who are on the field for immunization purposes. We however promise to keep you abreast with latest happenings as regards this story
