Today the Ogoni nation is celebrating one of her most important events one that every Ogoni son and daughter far and wide appreciates.
I must first of all thank President Buhari for doing what our brother Good luck Jonathan couldn't do for us in 6 years and that is the implementation of the Unep report . We know the actual implementation will take between 25-30years but for starting the process already, we are most grateful. I also thank Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi for his efforts so far and making arrangements for our Ogoni people to meet with Mr President , and Senator Magnus for his work as well. Finally Comrade Celestine Akpobari and other Activists for working effortlessly towards the struggle.
I remember in 2011 during senatorial elections when he visited the Ogoni people on the Ogoni Day, Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi being a lover of the Ogoni people said " do you love me? if you love me, I want you to transfer that love to vote for your brother who is here with me"
With the recent events it is now clear that Rt Hon Amaechi is truly a lover of the Ogoni people and shares a special bond with us. As an Ogoni man, I must commend him for his love and efforts towards improving the lives of my people.
