Now, the reason why we want to free Rivers State is because we want power to rotate. I hope you understand! Now, ikwerre people have ruled Rivers State for 12years, ikwerre people say they don't want to Govern Rivers State again ! ..do we like it?
Now there are some people in Ogoni that are deceiving us do you know them? Some of them have killed our brothers are we going to follow them? Some of them all the things Amaechi did in Ogoni they are spoiling it... Are we going to continue to follow them?
Therefore our leader Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi has given us a new leader and that leader in Tai Local Government Area is Joe... Do we like him?... Do we like him? Do we like Joe? are we going to follow him? ... Thank you.
Now from now ongoing forward anybody who comes to lie to you, don't follow him. Joe is the new leader, anybody who wants you to carry gun and go and kill, don't follow him. That one is a bad leader. When Amaechi was Governor of Rivers State, he did so much for Ogoni people,.. No be so? He did so much in Tai, no be so? This bad people have come and they are spoiling all the good works of Amaechi, are we going to follow them? ...so everybody in Tai must register to vote. This time votes will count, we are not going to do election in one man's house. I hope you know that.
All that they know how to do is to shoot and kill people. When you have a son, you want that your son to become somebody in the society,... No be so? ..na only their children go become better people?
So they will leave your own to be killed and then they will be training their own in better, better University will it continue? Ogoni people are not violent people, Ogoni people are intelligent people, Ogoni people are wise people, therefore the time has come when we will stop to follow all those "wayo" people they are looking for their stomach, what are they looking for? What are they looking for? They don't have the interest of Ogoni people at heart. We know those who love Ogoni and when we see them, we will respect them. So I cane to tell you today, Rotimi Amaechi that us our leader was supposed to come address us, that is why I came late, I was in the airport to receive him and bring him here but the Aeroplane that will bring him has problem, so he has asked me to come and tell you, and beg you that he will come here another day. That day, we will not want Joe to bring any money to hire canopy, he is going to do the canopy by himself and then he will come here and personally talk with you.
I hear that even because of that his Majesty that was supposed to travel is waiting to see Amaechi, he has also asked me to go and apologize to him, that he will come here another day so I want to appeal to you that on that day that he will come and he will not take long. Joe will call you again. When he calls you, I want the number to be more than this. Can you mobilize more than this?
You see when you mobilize more than this, this they will know that they are not the leaders of Ogoni. They used to tell us on social media, on our phone, on radio, on TV, they use to deceive us. I thought there are no more people in APC following us until I got here and I was surprised. I want to thank you people for the good work you are doing Now I know that Amaechi have people in Ogoni.
Does Amaechi have people in Ogoni? Are you people going to defend Rivers State?
Therefore, you must go from unit to unit. This state belongs to all of us. No be so? Does it belong to only one man? This state belongs to all of us. You must go from unit to unit and tell them.
Those people deceiving us, they are going round to tell you people it is Ogoni turn. Is it only Ogoni people that will vote for the governor? Is it only Ogoni people that will vote for the Governor? When it is time to vote for a Governor from Ogoni, all of us with all the other part of Rivers State will put our votes. No be so? If it is only Ogoni people can they produce governor? So we must learn to work with our brothers. That is one thing that has made Amaechi popular, he tells you people the truth. You know the Bible say, 'you must know the truth and the truth shall set you free'.
All of us own Rivers State and everybody cannot be governor at one time. No be so? You know we say power must rotate. When this man hold power small e go comot go to this side, when this side finish e go go to this side, when this side finish e go go to this side. That way everybody will feel a sense of co-ownership, a sense of belonging to the state. No be so?
SO IF ONE MAN GETS UP BECAUSE HE IS HUNGRY AND THEN GOES FROM PLACE TO PLACE TO TELL YOU IT'S OGONI TURN, IT'S OGONI TURN, IS IT ONLY OGONI PEOPLE THAT WILL VOTE?
So he is deceiving you people. He wants you to become a minority in Rivers State. Will Ogoni people agree to be minority?...Are Ogoni people minority?
When is it time for Ogoni governor, all of us will vote because the governor will not be for Ogoni alone, the governor will be for Ikwerre too. That same person who will be an Ogoni man, when it's your turn, that person will be governor for Kalabari too, he will be governor for Okrika, he will be governor for Ekpeye, he will be governor for Ogba people, he will be governor for my people, the Engenni people. No be so? So, nobody should be deceiving you, the governor will not be governor for Ogoni alone.
So, when they come to lie to you, tell them that Ogoni people are enlightened. Some of them were given contracts by Amaechi, did they do the work? Did they do the work? They will come here and lie and deceive you and ask you to kill yourselves...
So, we have come with the message that power must rotate and you are the foot soldiers. You are the ones who will go from house to house to bring people into our party. Today you will be formally inaugurated. When you are inaugurated, your work will be to talk to your brothers and sisters to help us to strengthen the hand of Joe and all the leaders in Ogoni so that on the day of election we will be able to come together and pursue that man who is in Brick House.
Wike is the sponsor of violence in Rivers State. I have said so before, I am saying it again in broad daylight. You know the last election in Rivers State was violent. No be so? Supreme Court talk say Rivers State was a theatre of war before, during and after the election and Wike is the beneficiary of that theatre. No be so? Somebody wey steal your property, no be armed robber? A man who steals your vote with gun, no be armed robber? Wike is an armed robber. Wike is what? Wike na wetin? Are Ogoni people going to support armed robber? Are you going to vote for armed robber? When he comes back to Ogoni land, tell him to go away with his blood money. Ogoni people will not eat blood money.
So, I will now invite, to inaugurate you and to empower you to go from unit to unit, to talk to your brothers and sisters that the time has come when we will chase away this evil Government in Rivers State so that Government will return to our people and we will continue to be Government at the national, at the state level and in your local government area".
