Many people are still in limbo of the exact achievement of Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside as the Director General (DG) of Nigerian Maritime Administrative and Safety Agency (NIMASA), as such, it has become very pertinent to X-ray some of this laudable achievements of NIMASA DG since his appointment on the 10th of March 2016 by H.E. President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR

1,045 beneficiaries has graduated from NIMASA’s human capital development programme, representing 42% of over 2,500 participants sponsored by the agency.

NIMASA'S IMAGE REBRANDING:
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) led by Commander Thomas Foster, on a visit to Nigeria recently
commended NIMASA under Dr. Peterside for its strides in ensuring safety in all the ports and expressed satisfaction with the infrastructural
developments regarding the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code implementation in Nigeria
ports which has now guaranteed Safety and revamping of business activities of Nigerian Ports. Through NIMASA under Dr. Peterside, Nigeria now has about 80% compliance rate for the ISPS code.
NIMASA under Dr. Peterside has Won the TELL MAGAZINE prestigious Public
Organisation of the year award in 2016. This was possible considering the outstanding achievements recorded by the agency despite the economic recession in the country.
Under Dr. Peterside leadership, Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and Nigerian
Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) entered into partnership which is
designed to deepen local content in the marine sector.
NIMASA under Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside has recorded all time achievements than has ever been.
