Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chief Barrister Dumo Lulu-Briggs has facilitated with women on the occasion of International Women's Day 2018. In his words :
"March 8 every year, has been designated as International Women's Day and today is a special day set aside annually and dedicated to celebrate womanhood, recognize women for their achievements and their significant contributions to society and celebrate their achievements throughout history and across nations irrespective of their national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political differences.
Our women have over the years, displayed great courage, resilience, tenacity and an enduring capacity to weather the storms of life as mothers, wives, activists, social crusaders, moral and spiritual guardians and indeed the very essence of our humanity and existence.
As you celebrate your special day today with the theme: #PressforProgress, I, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, on behalf of my self and my family, want to wish all women a happy, fruitful and eventful international women's day celebration.
My advise to all women today is simple. Don't let anybody tell you that there are set paths for you to follow. Follow your heart and pursue your dreams and in the words of Mother Teresa, "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier."
