Public Complaints Commission (Nigerian Ombudsman) Rivers State Office today held a one day anlightenment workshop tagged, "Public Complaints Commission: Mechanism For Addressing Citizens Grievances In A Democratic Dispensation".

Participants were heads of Federal and State Government Agencies in Rivers State, Managing Directors And Human Resources Managers of Companies including banks, heads of Military and Paramilitary Agencies in Rivers State, Non -Governmental Organizations, Human Right organizations , The Media Community, Community Chiefs and Political Leaders.
The Guest Speaker, Bala Mohammed Abdul Spoke on the mandate and functions of the Public Complaints Commission and how Rivers Indigens and residents can benefit from the services of the commission. one of the speakers at the event Mr Igo Weli, Government/external relations Manager Of SPDC elaborated on "alternative dispute resolution mechanism" as the best "Panacea" for peace in the Niger Delta. He urged Rivers people to go through the right Channel in demanding for their rights.

The Public Complaints Commissioner, Rivers State : Hon Marshal Isreal in his speech, thanked the attendees for finding time to attend the enlightenment, saying he and his team are poised to actualize their mandate which is to giv power and rights to the people.
The event ended in grand style.
