INCRAB Thanks Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi For Making Himself Available For Another Round Of National Service 

The Inter-ethnic Network for Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Buhari, INCRAB, a citizens advocacy group and society watchdog, thanks the immediate past minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, for making himself available for another round of selfless service to the nation. Statement released by the Group's Interim Management Committee (IMT) reads :



Fondly called "Mr. Railway" following his uncommon achievements in revitalizing and pulling the railway system out of coma and transforming it into a model of excellence, Amaechi has emerged as one of the nation's resounding symbols of service.


Given his streak of quality service delivery and sterling performances in any sector he finds himself, we are very confident that he will not only replicate his achievements but also surpass them and transform the railway system into an international brand if assigned same portfolio otherwise, his versatility and ability to fit into any sector and make something out of nothing is not in doubt.


Going by available records and feelers, the nation is yet to gain fully from his passion for service and wealth of experience in governance and Administration. Bearing this in mind, we urge him to make himself available for higher calling in the future as Nigerians are yet to get the best of him.


We thank and commend President Muhammadu Buhari for the confidence and trust reposed in Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and for standing firmly by his decision to work only with people who are profitable to the next level agenda of his administration.


The re-nomination of Amaechi is a pointer to the fact that he has demonstrated exceptional competence as a minister. A man who served his State two terms as Speaker at the same time was the Chairman of Nigerian Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly for two terms; a man was Governor for consecutive two terms at the same time served as Chairman of the formidable Nigerian Governors Forum, NGF for two terms.


Beyond being the NGF chairman for two consecutive terms, Amaechi served as the Presidential Campaign DG leading his party to victory back to back at the Presidential polls. His re-nomination as Minister back to back for another term further consolidates his streak of excellent performances. Without bias or sentiment, Amaechi, having placed himself on the line of national service, deserves the support of Nigerians irrespective of creed, ethnicity or political leanings.


For us, his renomination is based more on meritocracy anchored on excellence, experience and service than on the need to merely reward a campaign DG for leading the Party to victory back to back.
