APC RIVER STATE DISTRIBUTES PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENTS (PPEs) TO SECURITY AGENCIES TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Rivers State headed by the Ag. Chairman Barr Isaac Abbot Ogbobula commenced the distribution of the PPEs including nose masks and hand sanitizers to security agencies such as the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigerian CorrectioService and the Nigerian Police Rivers State command headquarters.



Responding to the gesture in their separate responses,  the state commandant of the NSCDC Muktar Lawal, the State Comptroller of Nigerian Correction Service Tinuoye Olumide and the Rivers State Police Commissioner Joseph Gobum Mukan all hailed the APC for their well timed magnanimity,  they said the APC is the first organisation or cooperate bodies to remember them despite the fact that their men are exposed the ravaging pandemic while carrying out their duties.

The comptroller of prisons also said the agency has over 4400 inmates in the Portharcourt prisons and any infection of Corona virus witnessed in the facility would be devastating and as such they have stopped the admission of new inmates forestall any infection of the virus to any inmate or the officers.

Also present were the Ag State Secretary Mr Baridon Baadom, Ag. State Women Leader Beatrice Dappa Amobi and Ag. State Treasurer Pastor Kinikanwo Owhor.
