Immediate Past DG NIMASA, Dakuku Peterside has said Late Hon Leo Anyanwu is a Rare gift to the world. He said this during the diseased funeral service which held at St John's Catholic Church, Umuakirikpo-Ofeh Omuma LGA, Rivers State on Friday, October 16, 2020.
He expressed special gratitude to the Honorable Minister of Transportation for doing all he can to ensure Leo didn't die even in the hit of the COVID-19 era. According to him " I and Chief Emeka beke put heads together and had to approach the minister our leader who made travel arrangements , got clearance from both the Israeli Government and that of Nigeria admist the restrictions that period.
He further said " My friend Leo was a rare gift and the period he was unwell. I was restless, even my children can attest to the fact that I wasn't myself when he was ill, this is because of the special bond we shared. I must also thank his wife ify who is truly a woman. As many women when their husband is sick or dead they can't hold it together, but she has done so perfectly.”
The event was widely attended by Politicians, Traditional Rulers Captains of industries, friends, and well-wishers, etc.
