Just Like My Late Father, I Will Keep Providing Assistance For The Elderly - Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs

The Head Chief of the Young Briggs House of Abonnema, Chief Dumo O. B. Lulu-Briggs, met with Elders; men and women from Abonnema and Buguma, and from other parts of the Kalabari kingdom at the Lulu-Briggs family house in Abonnema Town on Tuesday, 3rd November. The meeting, it was gathered, was part of the Chief's lined up programs for restoring communal spirit of peace, rekindling love in the families and putting smiles on the faces of those who are presumably weak and helpless.

The organizer of the event, Mrs. Stella Wokoma, in a brief interview stated that the event was inspired and funded by Chief Lulu-Briggs in fulfilment of the promise he earlier made to the elders to give constant attention and necessary assistance to them in accordance with Christian scriptural demands and as a continuation of his father's legacy.

It is public knowledge that Chief Dumo O. B. Lulu-Briggs is a renowned philanthropist who has been very consistent in serving humanity. Recall also that charity is an age long trend in the Lulu-Briggs family.

The Head of the Young Briggs House reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people and expressed deep concern for senior citizens; the Elders. He thanked God Almighty for His abundance of blessings and for granting him the will to carry on with the Divine assignment of putting smiles on the faces of the people. He said: "In our commitment to serving humanity, we must not forget our elders. We must endeavor to put smiles on the faces of the elderly men and women who are forerunners in the journey of life and have blessed us with wisdom to live through the challenges."

"Providing assistance for the elderly within and outside Kalabari Kingdom is my Father's custom and I am happy to honor him by earnestly striving to continue his legacy in this respect. I thank God Almighty for yet another opportunity to carry out his assignment; for His abundance of blessings and for providing the will and the grace to fulfill the task today. God bless our mothers and fathers!"
