"The trouble with Nigeria is simply and squarely a failure of leadership...The Nigerian problem is the unwillingness or inability of its leaders to rise to the responsibility,to the challenge of personal example,which are the hallmarks of true leadership.(Achebe,1983:1).

As politicians are jostling for elective offices,we should endeavour to assess their antecedent,so as to project the leadership that will be offered if eventually elected.

It is germane to posit that integrity and trust are the categorical imperatives of leadership.
President Jimmy Carter averred that:

"The test of a leader is not how best he campaigned but how effectively he meets the challenges and responsibilities of the office".

Carter went further to deposed thus:"There are a lot of things that I will not do to be elected.I will never tell a lie.I would never make a misleading statement.I would never betray your trust.And I will never avoid a controversial issue...I won't be any better President than Iam a candidate".

Now,having noted the existential import of integrity and trust in leadership,can a man who breached the trust of his benefactor and confidant because of the inordinate lure of power be entrusted with our common heritage?This is the baggage on Nysom Wike!

The quality of life in any state is proportionate to the quality of leadership thereof.

This proposition is not set out to chronicle the leadership résumé of Dr.Dakuku Adol Peterside.But suffice to say that he is imbued with the requisite leadership credential that will take Rivers State to the craved El Dorado.Unlike the other traitor who needs power for its glamour and pecks.

Giving the political pedigree of Dakuku Adol Peterside,he is, ipso facto,the brand for affirmative transformation of the social,economic and political life of Rivers people.And also,the consolidation of the Amaechi giant strides.
