UPTH CMD : Prof Ugboma Receives Dr Daimond Tonye- Obene Led ARD UPTH Executives

The Chief Medical Director of Upth has reiterated his commitment to the welfare of all staff of upth and his determination to continue to improve the working conditions in the hospital. He stated this while receiving the Tonye-Obene led ARD-UPTH executives who paid him a courtesy visit yesterday 19th January 2021.

The humane Chief Medical Director of upth Prof H.A.A Ugboma, a past president of ARD UPTH, welcomed the team with warmth and gladness.

The President of ARD UPTH, Dr Diamond Tonye Obene, thanked the CMD for sparing time out of his busy schedule to receive her team. She appreciated him for the great work he is doing in UPTH and placed the welfare needs of the association before him.

The Chief Medical Director assured her that he will strive to sort out the welfare needs of the association as the excos have formally presented them to him and will work with them to improve services in the hospital and improve welfare.

The CMD further promised to
1. Improve the availability of PPEs.
2. Expedite the capture of new residents.
3. Interview for HOs will be on thurs 21st and the process will be seamless and fast to meet up with the needs of the hospital.
4. Facilitate the upgrade of all post part 1 immediately.
5. He has mandated the excos to bring all faulty call rooms to his knowledge immediately.
6. The hospital will soon get a new creche.
7. Call food quality will be looked into and subsequently served with water at all times.
8. Employment of new residents is seriously being looked into.

Finally, the CMD assured the exco that his door is open to ARD UPTH always.
