SOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEM IS 30% DEPENDENT OUTSIDE AND 70% WITHIN YOURSELVES. MARSHALL ISRAEL TELL FOUR COMMUNITIES IN IGBO KINGDOM IN ETCHE LGA.


The people of Umuebele, Chokota, and Ikwerre-Ngwo in Igbo Kingdom in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State have asked Public Complaints Commission to prevail on Rivers State Government and  Multinationals operating in the area to fix the dilaplitated roads linking the communities.


The aggrieved people of the four communities in a Protest to PCC in the state on Monday 29th of March 2021 particularly blamed the Shell Petroleum Development Company who they accused of abandoning their Corporate Social responsibility in the communities.


Speaking on behalf of the people, Chief Maxwell Onyeche and Augustin Okechukwu Njoku while decrying the level of abandonment by the state government even after campaign promises and criticized the multinational of neglect and unjustly treating their host Communities even with over eighty oil wells running.


The People who spoke when the Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission in RIvers State, Marshall Israel visited the Community in an on the spot assessment complained that their economic activities have been grounded and that hoodlums now take advantage of the poor state of the road in the area to commit more crime.


They called on the PCC boss to intervene to amenorate the suffering of the people.


Addressing the people after taking a tour of the roads in an on the Spot assessment, the Federal Commissioner Public Complaints Commission, Marshall Israel commended the people for taking the part of peace in seeking solution to their problem.


Marshall Isreal while assuring his readiness to intervene on the challenges confronting the people, insisted that Solution to their Problem is  30% Outside and 70% Within Yourselves.


" I came here to know if your people are in agreement with the petition I received in my office from a Non Governmental Organization, not tomorrow now, someone or group will rise up somewhere to say, we did not send them, but if you have agreed that I should take up the matter, I will try my best"


"I will first of all, engage the SPDC, if the talk did not hold water, I will proceed to National Assembly where they will call a representative from this Communities to present your matter".


Marshall while putting reference to issues of such nature which he has been able to resolve, discourage any act of litigation which he said put the OPPRESSORS in an advantageous position and the oppressed in a disadvantaged position.


The PCC boos Media Team reports that the meeting later moved to the palace of the 

Onye Ishi Ala Chokota Community, His Highness, Eze Ishmael O Nweke where Marshall Israel reiterated his commitment and willingness to ensure that justice is done in the situation but solicited for the support of the community People.
