Very importantly, the haste to spew the unprofessional content led the merchant of falsehood laced with illusions and sophistry to claim Prof Nelson Brambaifa held sway at the NDDC for 12months instead of the 7 months he spent.
Is it not madness to claim an NGO was awarded a whopping #70billion contract? Shamelessly and without recourse to the time tested ethics of getting all sides to a story, how come the office of the Attorney General of the Federation, EFCC, ICPC were not quoted on this phantom investigation? Can a corruption file as serious as what Pointblank news wants its readers to believe fly into the office of the AGF without due diligence of a probe by any of the security or anti-corruption agencies?
As at today, the NDDC has 12000 contract/project files in the custody of the Forensic Auditors approved by the Presidency under the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs. No report of this audit has been concluded nor submitted to the appropriate agencies.
From all available records, the Empowerment Support Agency ESI has a partnership agreement with NDDC to train Niger Deltans which is part of the core mandates of the Commission to transform the region.
Surely, sensationalism sells in the media space but at what point do we start having a rethink of building instead of destroying. Enough is enough. Needless telling Mr. Jackson Ude to retract his hatchet publication against Dame Judith Amaechi, we are aware that he is available to the highest bidder. He did same to Vice President Osibanjo; he cloned Transport Minister Amaechi's voice and nothing happened to him, so let him go ahead with his MISCHIEF.
Mr Jackson Ude (a former Director of Communications & Strategy for President Goodluck Jonathan's campaign team) should come out clean because he cannot keep deceiving the gullible. He is yet to forgive Dame Judith's husband for leading a Presidential campaign that denied his principal victory during the 2015 elections.
For the avoidance of doubts, Prof Brambaifa managed NDDC for 7 months. So how did Dame Judith Amaechi get the #48 billion as alleged and how she has been paid #4 billion monthly?. This is nothing but dirty politics to drag the image of her husband to the mud. How can a #70 billion contract be awarded to a single NGO by NDDC? How much is the annual subvention to the NDDC from the Federal Government and it's overall annual receipts from IOCs? Even the Federal Government cannot award a #70 billion naira contract to an NGO not to talk of an agency like the NDDC.
No matter how fast lies travel, the truth MUST catch up with it!
