EID-EL-ADHA: PCC BOSS CELEBRATES WITH MUSLIMS

-Calls for more Prayers for Nigeria

The Chief Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission, PCC also known as the Nigerian Chief Ombudsman Hon. Abimbola Ayo-Yusuf has felicitated with Muslims across the world on the celebration of the Eid-El-Adha feast.

In a statement issued in Abuja the headquarters of the Commission, the PCC Boss described this year's celebration as special because it was coming immediately after the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic which almost brought the world to a halt.

He urged the entire Muslim Ummah to observe the feast in the spirit of love, peace and fellowship, adding that prayers for Nigeria and our leaders are needed at this particular point in time.

"Eid-el-Kabir is a very important feast to the Muslim Ummah as it reminds them of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim and the divine providence of Allah. It is a feast celebrated with charity, love, sharing and prayers.

"I urge our Muslim brothers to observe this important feasts with all the happiness and joy it brings but most importantly, it is also a time that calls for prayers for our nation especially in view of the fragile security situation across the nation at the moment."

The Chief Ombudsman equally enjoined the Muslim Ummah to take advantage of the free mediatory services the PCC offers across the nation to resolve issues and unnecessary litigation where possible as a way of  promoting peace and peaceful cohabitation of our people which is the core mandate of the Commission.

"Let me also urge  Muslim leaders to use this solemn period of prayer and celebration in  Cascading the message of alternative dispute resolution as the only panacea for sustainable peace and development in Nigeria".
