Self acclaimed ex- agitator and serial blackmailer, Israel Eshanekpe has just been arrested by Security operatives in Abuja.
A source who pleaded anonymity told reporters that this development was likely as a result of several complaints of his nefarious activities, by various stakeholder groups and well meaning Nigerians.
It would also be recalled that a foremost pressure group, APC South South Youth Mandate had earlier called for his arrest and prosecution over allegations of blackmail and extortion of unyielding Government Appointees in MDAs.
"The so called General Israel has under the guise of several syndicate phantom groups (ranging from the National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-agitators to Egbesu Union – which are syndicate groups he uses to blackmail unsuspecting Nigerians), resorts to making unreasonable demands from government appointees, who upon refusal are greeted by cheap blackmail, malicious petitions and unfounded media reports by the above groups." Comrade Terry Obieh, President of the group stated.
We shall ensure that Israel is prosecuted and justice achieved in this matter because blackmail and threat to life have consequences. Terry added.
