~Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya urges Party Faithfuls
The All Progressive Congress (APC) Rivers State Excos under the chairmanship of Chief Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya have continued Sensitization across Local Government Areas. The tour which is widely applauded in all spheres of the APC began some days ago have visited LGAs like Khana, Ikwerre and Akuku-Toru and today was the turn of the Ahoada East and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGAs.
The State Chiarman in the company of the state Party Excos and some other leaders were greeted to a rousing welcome by a mammoth crowd at both AELGA and ONELGA.
At Ahoada East, the State Chairman thanked party faithfuls for been steadfast in such trying times we found ourselve where insecurity and constant threat to the pece of the people thrives unchallenged. He stressed on the need of the party executives to take charge of the party on their various domain adding that each and every member of the party must be loyal to the party and the Leader of the Party in the State and in the South-South Geopolitical zone in person of the Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi CON, the Honourable Minister for Transportation.
In his words "We have only one Leader of the APC in Rivers State and in the South-South, the Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi CON. We must be loyal to him and to the Party. The work of the Party is for all of us to do nd work towards victory in 2019 as Rivers People are yearning for the APC kind of leadership that will liberate her, the Chairman submitted. The internal fightings, unhealthy bickerings, gossipping and throwing of tantrums is not what the party needs. We all need each other. Good character deportment and the right attitude towards the other is what will bring in more valuable members to the APC. If your attitude is the reason people aren't coming in to the party or thats making people leave the party;you must change that habit,
At Omoku, the Council headquarters of the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA, the Entourage of the Chairman met party faithfuls from all wards and units at the Omoku Civic Centre. The State Chairman Dr. Ikanya JP stressed on the importance of the humility that must be found in the actions of Party Excos from the Units up to the LGA; adding that every leader must first show the attribute of a servant.
Dr. Ikanya pointed out the need for party men and women to be empowered and assured faithful of the serious work behind the cene to actualize that. Dr. Ikanya also warned that party executive from the units to the LGAs must be fair to all ne entrants and allow for them the freedom to participate in party functions; as that will create the must desired harmony needed in the party at the grasroot level.
In appreciation to the State Excos, the former Senator that represented the Rivers West Senatorial district, Distinguished Sen. Wislon Asinobi Ake was very elated that the party, at this point could engage their colleagues at the grassroot in thiskind of sensitization cum interractive session. He also thanked the young people in the area for taking their destinies in their hands and tking care of the security challenges that hath bedevilled the area for some time now. He thanked the State Chairman for the right step taking to make sure that the party is one which he (Ake) said is the character consistent with seasoned political figures like that of Dr. Dvies Ibiamu Ikanya.
