Today the State Party Chairman Chief Davies Ibiamu Ikanya led other Excos members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Rivers State for the ongoing local Government Sensitization.
The meeting held at the Women's Hall, Bonny. While welcoming the state leadership, the acting chairman of the APC in Bonny, Amasenibo Israel Waribo Pepple, , appealed to them to always consider the peculiarities and topography of Bonny in whatever they do.
He said Bonny APC is favourably disposed to the idea of a riverine governor as Bonny has well qualified individuals for the office of governor of Rivers State.
He assured the state executive of the loyalty, commitment and cooperation of Bonny chapter as the party optimistically moves to take over the state in 2019.
Chief Ikanya thanked the Bonny Excos for the wonderful work they have been doing and prayed God bless them.
He also stressed on the need for unity, togetherness and objectivity. He further he advised members not to be inclined to unnecessary fractionalization of the party, as every energy should be positively directed towards building the party into an indomitable force ahead of 2019 general election, instead of internal bickering and division.
He warned that the state leadership will not accommodate anyone who will try to bring division amongst members.
The Party leadership then proceeded to the new LGA office where the state Chairman commissioned the new facility.
