The Prince Of Eleme Kingdom, Hon. Prince Awalanta Mike Ejire has expressed regret over the attack by forces of evil who struck the ancient Kingdom of Eleme and took away one of her beloved and vibrant daughters, Barr. Mary Obe and others who were also killed by unknown gunmen who invaded Alode community on Wednesday 29th November 2017.
"It is with a very heavy heart that I see Eleme Local Government Area suffer this unfortunate fate by having to offer series of unwanted condolences, my heart goes out to the families of the dead and injured at this trying moment".
The Prince also said "let us all come together to propound for peace, even as we call on all citizens of Alode community and Eleme Local Government to fervently be prayerful and remain vigilant at this moment of grief, we also call on all respected Men of God to raise up in solidarity and put a stop to this evil menace that wants to ravaged our ones peaceful land of Eleme".
Continuous prayers and faith in God at this time is the best thing to do as a people, even as we unanimously put our trust in the name of our Lord our God for healing in our land.
"While we commend our gallant and patriotic security agencies, we continue to urge them to do their best to deescalate and find a lasting solution to this horrible conflict that continues to cost us thousands of valuable lives and resources".
