...Calls for collaboration with Armed Forces
The Rivers Commissioner Federal Public Complaints Commisioner Honorable Marshal Isreal today paid courtesy Call on the Nigerian Air Force in Port Harcourt Division.
Hon Israel, Hon Isreal while speaking said addressing the Commander and Senior Officers of The Nigerian Air Force in an interactive session in Portharcourt said "I commend the Nigerian Air Force for maintaining the highest level of House Keeping and Cleanliness.Though we do not have the mandate to investigate the Armed Forces, but we can investigate the Civilian section of the Air Force which includes Your Nurses, Teachers and your entire Civilian staff who are not covered by your Act".
"During retirement, we can also help you resolve issues of pension and gratuity. While I commend your resilience and commitment to defending Nigeria against external aggression, I think there is a need for increased information gathering and collaboration amongst military and paramilitary agencies in Rivers State to curb the menace of kidnapping, armed robbery, Militancy and oil bunkering in Rivers State. The Public Complaints Commission is open for partnership and collaboration".
The Commander while speaking thanked the PCC Commisioner for making out time to visit , he also promised that the Armed Forces were ready to collaborate with civilians in other to savage the security situation in the country .
