When Dakuku Foundation arrived Opobo Town, they stopped by at the palace of Alabo Samuel Annie Stewart who they pleaded yo accompany them to see the King of Opobo : Amayanbo Dandison Douglas Jaja : Jevi V. On arrival to the palace, they were warmly received by the king. While speaking on behalf of the Foundation, Madam Susan Minimah said their principal Dr Dakuku heard of the suffering of his people and had to do something to elevate the ravaging hunger.

She further said, that " its in no way a party thing, that is why we have decided to share in to the wards who will then hand it over to women and youth leaders of the different War-Canoe houses so it gets to everyone no matter how little "

King Dandison thanked them for the gesture and prayed God to bless and increase them immensely. He further warned that he doesn't want it to be shared to a particular party members as that will cause disunity and the kingdom doesn't need that now.

One notable thing noticed during the distribution exercise was the warm reception the team got and the several prayer said by the young and elderly, as the items came at the nick of time.
